In religious thermodynamics, Adrian Hough (1959-) is an English physical chemist turned priest noted for his 2010 book The Flaw in the Universe, in which he attempts to explain both sin and natural disaster in terms of the second law of thermodynamics. [1]
Education
Hough completed his BS in chemistry and PhD on intermolecular forces with a thesis on “Spectroscopic Aspects of the Study of Weakly Bound Molecules” (1984), both at Oxford University. In 1989 Hough began studying theology at the Church of England and became a priest in 1993. In c.2010, he was employed as a Chaplain to the Bishop of Exeter where he trains newly ordained ministers; he is, supposedly, employed elsewhere now. (Ѻ)
