In thermodynamics, Boltzmann entropy refers to the H-theorem, introduced by Austrian physicist Ludwig Boltzmann in his famous 1872 paper “Further Studies on the Thermal Equilibrium of Gas Molecules”, which statistically quantifies the entropy of an ideal gas system. [1]
