In hmolscience, Jurgen Ruesch (1910-1995) was a Swiss-born American psychiatrist noted, in psychological thermodynamics, for his 1964 classification of psycho-thermodynamics as the psychological modeling of human functioning based on energy analogies, as contrasted with “psychohydraulics” (pressure analogies) or “psychoelectronics” (machine analogies).
