In chemistry, molecular entity is any constitutionally or isotopically distinct atom, molecule, ion, ion pair, radical, radical ion, complex, conformer etc., identifiable as a separately distinguishable entity. [1] In this context, both a single unattached human molecule as well as the bonded unit of two human molecules, such as in a married relationship, defined as a dihumanide molecule, can each be referred to as a molecular entity.
