Stanley SaltheIn science, Stanley Salthe (1930-) is an American zoologist noted for his 1993 to 2003 promotion of his nearly-incoherent infodynamics theory, an attempt at blending Austrian physicist Ludwig Boltzmann’s statistical mechanical models of entropy as disorder, with American electrical engineer Claude Shannon’s information entropy (bitropy) theories, and Belgian chemist Ilya Prigogine’s dissipative structures theories. [1]

Salthe was a reviewer for American philosopher Alicia Juarrero’s 1999 Dynamics in Action. [2]

Education
Salthe completed his PhD in zoology in 1963 at Columbia University. Presently, he is a professor emeritus of the Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and a visiting scientist of biological sciences at Binghamton University, New York.
